About The Role
Operating within Employment Relations, the Senior Employment Relations Consultant provides high level support and advice to university management and People & Capability (P&C) staff on employment relations (ER) matters. Utilising expert knowledge in employment and industrial legislation, the position will actively contribute to the development and implementation of ER strategies, enterprise bargaining, human resources matters and other related policies and procedures in alignment with ACU's strategic direction, employer responsibilities and obligations. The Senior Employment Relations Consultant will case manage and support processes for unsatisfactory performance, misconduct and complaints including preparing misconduct investigations and representing the university at the Fair Work Commission in matters as they relate to unfair dismissal, general protections and bullying. This will also involve managing relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders particularly the relationship with unions.

* Total remuneration valued to $160,162 - $170,900 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $135,360 - $144,538 (pro rata) pa (HEW 9), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
* 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
* Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
