As a well-regarded brand with a strong market presence and a loyal team, they are now seeking someone to lead operational execution and drive efficiency. About the role
The focus is to first understand the business, then introduce practical improvements that strengthen performance, consistency and customer outcomes, adding value without disruption. It is not a role for someone looking to force change from day one. Success will come from listening, learning, building trust, and identifying sensible improvements that deliver value.
Duties
Leading operational execution across manufacturing, supply chain, warehousing, national distribution, quality, maintenance and CI. Your focus will be to create clearer structure, stronger communication and better performance rhythms across the business. This will include:
* DIFOT and customer service performance
* Strengthening production output, labour efficiency and machine utilisation
* Improving inventory accuracy, planning and replenishment
* Reviewing freight performance and logistics cost
* Reducing scrap, rework and operational quality losses
* Building KPI reporting, meeting rhythms and accountability
* Supporting preventative maintenance and equipment reliability
* Coaching leaders and embedding practical continuous improvement
Skills & experience
You will be a calm, hands-on and consultative operations leader who knows how to bring people together. You are commercially aware, comfortable on the floor and able to move between strategic priorities and day-to-day operational realities. You value structure, but you also understand that change works best when people understand the reason for it.
Experience in plastic components, technical manufacturing, building or construction product manufacturing, international supply chains and family-owned / private business environments would be highly regarded.
You will likely bring:
