**The opportunity**
Our client wishes to appoint an Associate II or III to their high-performing group of talented bankers. As integral part of the Natural Resources team, you will provide support to senior leaders in managing client advisory mandates and harnessing relationships in the coverage sector.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Active participation in transaction teams
- Building and managing development of detailed financial models
- Preparation of pitch materials
- Managing due diligence processes
- Management of datarooms
- Engagement with client and other advisors in transaction related workstreams
- Co-ordinating and instructing junior staff
- Project management activities
**About you**
- Bachelor of commerce, finance, law, and/or science
- Related post graduate qualification in finance, mining and/or energy economics
- Experience managing transaction teams on a full range of advisory mandates (m&a;/project finance/ecm)
- Highly organised, motivated, and driven individual
- Minimum of 4 - 6 years’ experience with an investment bank, private equity, or in-house M&A; team
- Possess well developed analytical skills, high intelligence and commercial acumen
- Experience and/or strong interest in the natural resources sector
