The Opportunity
We're looking for motivated individuals to join our Apprentice Distribution Lineworker Program, where you'll complete a Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems – Distribution Overhead over a four‐year period. This program offers a blend of practical experience and formal training. You'll learn from experienced professionals and attend TAFE to complete your studies. These positions will be based at the Traralgon depot.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Apprentice Lineworker, you'll rotate through a variety of worksites and gain experience across the electricity supply industry. You'll play a key role in helping to build and maintain Australia's energy infrastructure by:
* Constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead assets
* Operating tools and equipment used in the construction and maintenance of the network
* Installing and maintaining overhead distribution conductors and cables
* Inspecting electrical structures and equipment
* Testing and verifying overhead installations
* Assisting with yard and warehouse duties, administration, ground support, and traffic control (where trained)
What We're Looking For
We want team players who are enthusiastic, hands‐on, and ready to learn. You'll succeed in this role if you:
* Are 18 years or older by January 2027
* Have a genuine interest in the energy industry and enjoy working outdoors
* Are physically capable and comfortable working at heights
* Have a great attitude and are eager to be part of a supportive team
* Hold (or are working toward) a Certificate II in Electrotechnology – this is advantageous but not essential
