Grounds and Maintenance Officer
Commencement Date: From Monday 13th July 2026 (or by negotiation)
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time (38 hours per week)
Salary Range: Services Staff L3 - $34.17 to $35.62 gross per hour

About The Role
The employee appointed to this position will be competent and experienced in a range of skills including grounds keeping, mowing, gardening, general maintenance and more.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
* Ensure the school grounds and facilities are maintained to a high standard.
* Assist with repairs and maintenance, including regular preventative maintenance of facilities at a level not requiring trade qualifications including:
o Painting
o Concreting
o Tiling and Paving
o Electrical
o Glazier
o Plumbing
* Assist with general maintenance including watering, pruning, mulching, weeding, fertilizing (under supervision), chemical spraying grounds (appropriate ticket required) and mowing.
* Maintain playground equipment including regular turning over of sand in compacted areas.
* Collect and dispose of rubbish as required.
* Assist staff with movement of equipment and furniture, as required.
* Follow up any matters raised by security, cleaners etc, as directed.
* Assist with setting/packing up for school and STSC events and functions.
Work Requirements
* Hold a Working with Children Blue Card
* Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education
* Current Driver's Licence
* Tertiary qualifications at Certificate level relevant to the position may be required or such knowledge, qualifications and experience that are deemed as necessary to successfully carry out the duties of the position
