What you'll actually do
You'll be caring for and maintaining stunning high‐end residential gardens across Perth. These are clients who invest seriously in their outdoor spaces and expect the same in return.
Work includes:
* Precision pruning, hedging and topiary
* Seasonal planting and softscaping
* Irrigation system checks, repairs and adjustments
* Soil health checks and fertilising programs
* Pest/disease identification and management
Reporting to both Huntly management and clients.
Leading and mentoring crew members on site.
You'll be working alongside a skilled team where quality always matters more than speed.

Key responsibilities
* Maintain safety for yourself, your team and the public at all times
* Deliver every garden to an exceptional standard, every visit
* Communicate clearly with Kale, Clare and your team
* Follow maintenance schedules and adapt based on seasonal needs
* Build trusted relationships with high‐end clients
* Keep vehicles, equipment and sites clean and professional at all times
* Spot problems early — pests, disease, irrigation faults — and act on them
Long term:
* Becoming the go‐to horticulture lead for Huntly's maintenance division
* Helping shape the way we approach and grow our maintenance offering

* Can walk into a garden and immediately see what it needs

* Is reliable, motivated and obsessively detail‐focused
Requirements
* Manual river's licence
* Certificate III in Horticulture (or higher) and/or 3+ years proven experience in high‐end garden maintenance
* Irrigation knowledge in repairs, scheduling, system diagnosis
* Experience managing or mentoring a crew
* Topiary and precision hedging skills
* Plant health expertise for soil, pests and disease identification
