Software Support Specialist – Construction Accounting Software (Cheops)

Location: Adelaide, South Australia

CSSP is Australia's leading provider of construction management software. Our customer base spans Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and the Middle East.

Based in Adelaide, we develop and support Cheops, our flagship construction accounting and project management solution - giving us the unique ability to respond directly to our customers' needs.

We are part of the international JDM Technology Group, with offices in Australia, the USA, the UK and the UAE.

We are currently searching for a new Accounting Software Support Specialist to join our growing team in Adelaide, South Australia.

Are you experienced in accounting or construction finance and ready for a role that's a little different?

We're looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with customers, and supporting users of Cheops, a leading construction accounting and project management system. This role is ideal for someone with:

* An accounting or construction accounting background, OR
* Experience in a help desk role or as a bookkeeper
* A genuine interest in learning new systems and helping clients get the most out of their software

About the Role

As a Software Support Specialist, you'll provide software support services to our customers, managing each case from first contact through to resolution. You'll use all available tools and resources to deliver high-quality, proactive customer service while helping clients make the most of Cheops.

In this role you will:

* Provide frontline support by troubleshooting software issues and offering immediate solutions via multiple support channels
* Deliver excellent customer service and exceed customer expectations
* Keep customers up to date on incident progress
* Liaise with internal and external support groups for incident resolution
* Capture and clearly document incident summaries, notes, actions, and resolutions
* Take full ownership of incidents from logging through to resolution, with a focus on customer experience and speed of resolution

About You

You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy problem-solving, learning new systems, and working with customers in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills:

* Minimum 12 months in a customer-facing role, ideally in a help desk or application support environment
* Passion for customer service and a genuine technical interest
* Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
* Experience in remote support and using industry-standard help desk tools
* A professional, friendly communication style and excellent phone manner
* Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
* The ability to quickly learn new software and technologies
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Confidence interacting with people at multiple levels
* Experience with Cheops or similar construction/project management software (desirable)
* A background in accounting, construction management, bookkeeping, document management, or technology (highly desirable)
