About the Role
Please note when applying this is a Casual role with varying hours of work. This is a chance to work with a flexible schedule that accommodates students, parents or those seeking additional hours.
Expressions of interest for Female Disability Support Worker in the Redland Bay Area. As a casual Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person centred active support to people living with disabilities.
You will be part of a dynamic team that delivers genuine support in all domains of life, to enable access to quality of life with dignity, respect, and social inclusion.
The role is Casual Sleepover; shifts are available from Monday-Sunday 2pm – 6am
Main responsibilities include
- Personal care: grooming, dressing, toileting, and showering
- Domestic assistance in housekeeping, and cleaning
- Assists participants with medications
- Community Access – Medical appointments
- Meal preparation
About You
You are reliable with a good work ethic. You pride yourself on providing personal care with dignity and respect. You understand the importance of providing individualised support in a home environment and out in the community. You'll have experience in SIL/SDA and providing In Home support to disability participants.
- Prior experience supporting clients with disabilities is highly desirable
- Experience in dementia (highly desirable)
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
- Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment)
- NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Full Australian working rights
- Smart phone with internet access
- Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required
