Avon District Support Brigade (ICV) volunteers play a significant and vital role during natural and man‐made hazardous incidents. As a driver, you will not only drive the crew to incidents but you will also learn the necessary skills to assist as a mapping officer, communications/radio operator, operations support and stakeholder liaison.
Volunteers need to have a good level of literacy and numeracy, basic computer skills and be relatively fit and healthy due to manual handling requirements.

Commitment: Regular – more than 6 months
Type of Work: Administration & Office Management, Safety & Emergency Services
Time Required: Discussions around your time availability; FIFO/DIDO friendly; training held the first Wednesday evening of every month with DFES training courses where required.
Training: Operational training will be provided to complement your driving.
