Creative Arts Faculty Coordinator
Red Bend Catholic College invites suitably qualified and experienced Creative Arts Teachers to join our team in a position of responsibility as the Creative Arts Faculty Coordinator.
Situated in the heart of the Lachlan Valley in Central West NSW, Red Bend Catholic College is an independent Years 7-12 Catholic Day and Boarding school in the Marist tradition. The College educates over 860 students from rural, regional and remote areas to provide an extensive Catholic education. Our core purpose is to make Jesus Christ known and loved through the rich experiences of College life, which includes a clear focus on academic care, wellbeing, boarding, co‐curricular and sporting experiences.
Role Overview
The primary focus of the Creative Arts Faculty Coordinator is to oversee the strategic direction, curriculum delivery, and daily operations of the creative arts department, which includes Visual Arts and Music. The position is a 3+3 fixed‐term contract.
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver and assess creative arts curriculum for Visual Arts and Music.
* Coordinate and lead co‐curricular activities and community engagements.
* Foster a positive and disciplined learning environment in the classroom and beyond.
* Support faculty and staff through leadership, professional development and mentoring.
* Collaborate with school leadership on strategic planning and resource management.
* Ensure compliance with NESA standards and school policies.
Qualifications
* Hold a teaching qualification accredited by NESA.
* Possess three (3) years of teaching experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead within the creative arts.
* Be able to gain NESA accreditation to teach in NSW.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Commitment to the Marist and Mercy traditions and values of the College.
* Complete NSW Working with Children Check and adhere to Marist Schools Australia Child Safeguarding Standards.
