Job Summary
The Market Manager is responsible for driving the commercial performance and strategic growth of Traveloka's accommodation portfolio across Australia and New Zealand. This role owns a defined portfolio of partners and is accountable for acquisition, revenue growth, and overall market competitiveness.
Acting as the primary commercial lead for their portfolio, the Market Manager builds strong partner relationships while identifying and executing opportunities to improve pricing, availability, and conversion on the platform.
Key Responsibilities
* The Market Manager owns end-to-end partner performance. This includes acquiring new properties, managing a portfolio of existing partners, and ensuring all properties are commercially competitive and aligned with market demand.
* A core part of the role is driving revenue growth. Market Managers analyze performance trends, identify gaps in pricing and availability, and work directly with partners to optimise their setup. This includes addressing rate competitiveness, improving inventory, and ensuring strong visibility during key demand periods and campaigns.
* They are also responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with partners. This goes beyond day-to-day communication and requires the ability to influence, negotiate, and position Traveloka's value in a way that drives long-term collaboration.
* Market Managers work closely with internal teams including marketing, product, and distribution to execute initiatives that improve performance across the portfolio. They are expected to proactively identify opportunities and elevate blockers where needed.
* In addition, they lead and support onboarding efforts by working alongside Market Executives to ensure new properties are brought live efficiently and to a high standard.
Job Requirements
* Proven experience in market management or a related role within the accommodation commercial domain, with a track record of managing key accounts and supply partnerships.
* Strong data analysis and visualization skills, with the ability to interpret KPIs and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
* In-depth understanding of accommodation industry dynamics, including competitor models, rate structures, and yield management.
* Proficiency in using a full spectrum of business tools and systems relevant to market management and business development.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with supply partners, hotels, and internal teams.
* Problem-solving abilities to resolve complex operational issues related to accounting, allotment, and other accommodation.
