We are seeking to establish a pool of Teachers – Education Support for permanent and fixed‐term, full‐time and part‐time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Role
At Leda ESC, you'll work alongside a dynamic and collaborative team of specialist teachers and education support staff. Together, we deliver individualised programmes and evidence‐based practice that help students develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Ideal Candidates
* Flexible, reflective, and student‐centred in their approach.
* Skilled (or willing to develop expertise) in working with students with intellectual disabilities, multiple physical disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, trauma and complex communication needs.
* Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to foster and maintain positive and professional working relationships.
* Committed to designing and reviewing meaningful Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that nurture both functional curriculum outcomes and the whole child.
* Confident in applying Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies and programmes such as Letters and Sounds, Talk 4 Writing and Zones of Regulation.
Responsibilities
* Deliver individualised programmes and evidence‐based practice to support students' academic, social and emotional development.
* Design, implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with students, families and colleagues.
* Apply Positive Behaviour Support strategies, including Letters and Sounds, Talk 4 Writing and Zones of Regulation.
* Collaborate closely with colleagues, therapists and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for students.
* Maintain positive and professional working relationships with students, families and the wider community.
Qualifications & Eligibility
* Eligible teacher qualification and registration.
* Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or visa with relevant work rights for the term of appointment.
* Completed WA Working with Children Check before commencing employment.
* Consented to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtained a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before commencing employment.
