Fixed Term - 3 Years | Open to either fulltime or part time (1FTE - 0.6FTE). Higher Education Officer Level 6 | $94,456 - $100,710 p.a. (pro-rata if part time). Location: Arrernte - Alice Springs.

About the Role

We are currently building our Research Team to support research in Tackling Antimicrobial Resistance in Remote Australia (TARRA). This is an exciting and unique time to join our expanding Research Team and work across meaningful research addressing the rising threat of antimicrobial resistance in remote Australia.

With an aim of strengthening the Remote Primary Health setting in the Northern Territory, this position provides high‐level administrative, project coordination and research support to ensure effective planning, delivery and reporting of research activities. You will collaborate closely with researchers, leadership and external stakeholders, contributing to data collection, project coordination and the ongoing success of research initiatives, particularly in rural and remote contexts.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive research and administrative support, including data collection, qualitative interviews, and research data management.
* Coordinate project activities, communications and stakeholder engagement to support research delivery and collaboration.
* Assist with grant administration, including budget monitoring, reporting and compliance requirements.
* Support the planning and execution of research projects and strategic initiatives to improve research outcomes and impact.
About You

You are a highly organised and proactive professional with strong research and administrative capabilities, ideally supported by relevant qualifications or equivalent experience. You possess well‐developed communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. You bring a keen eye for detail and a problem‐solving mindset, can interpret policies, manage data and support projects in complex environments, and are culturally aware and committed to contributing to meaningful research outcomes that benefit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

* Proven ability to provide high‐level administrative and research support, including data collection, analysis and reporting.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
* Sound judgement and analytical skills to interpret policies, manage information and solve problems.
* Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and commitment to inclusive, community‐focused outcomes.

Prescribed Conditions for Employment
* A current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check satisfactory to the University is required before commencement.
