Job Overview
Downer has been awarded a major Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland. The Handyperson role is central to the management of properties across Stockland's national portfolio, supporting multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out general maintenance and repairs across site and communal areas
* Perform routine, preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure safety and presentation
* Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently
* Complete basic trade tasks (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical, painting) within scope
* Conduct safety checks, identify issues, and ensure compliance with WHS standards
Qualifications
* Proven experience in general maintenance, repairs or handyperson work
* Construction White Card
* Ability to carry out general repairs across multiple areas (carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical)
* Strong understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) and hazard identification
* Good time‐management, problem‐solving skills and ability to work independently
* Professional communication skills, multitasking ability and accurate record keeping
* Prepared to undertake pre‐employment checks including National Police Check and medical assessment
* Working with Childrens check or willingness to obtain one
* Trade qualifications or certifications (desired but not essential)
