An alternative provision in Newhaven is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team and provide one-to-one and small group support to students who need it most. This is a highly rewarding role in a nurturing and structured environment, where your input can shape futures.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent behaviour support to students with SEMH needs
- Build trusting, positive relationships to help students engage in learning
- Work closely with teaching staff and external professionals to implement behaviour strategies
- Support the development of social and emotional skills through tailored interventions
- De-escalate challenging situations using positive behaviour techniques
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
???? Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain a new one)
- Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural or SEMH needs (desirable but not essential)
- Calm, resilient and adaptable approach to working in a dynamic school setting
- Ability to start immediately and commit to a full time position
