Who we are looking for Due to sustained growth and success, a full-time opportunity has arisen for a senior accountant to join our team. We are looking for an intelligent, highly motivated candidate with a desire to progress and develop their accounting and tax skills in an ever-changing environment.

The Position The senior accountant position will suit a confident accountant who exhibits a can-do attitude to assist with the management of client workloads and timely completion of client compliance work.
Assisting with the oversight and development of junior members of staff including providing general guidance and performing client file to review. Managing client workloads in accordance with lodgement deadlines. Ensuring that client work is completed efficiently and accurately as required. Meeting with clients face to face. Liaising with the ATO as required. Communicating with staff and management effectively. Accounting related degree Minimum 2 years' working experience as an accountant in public practice within Australia (although experience in commercial accountant positions may also be considered) Strong working knowledge of Australian taxation rules and compliance requirements including income tax, GST, FBT, payroll and superannuation. Experience in the preparation of financial reports and income tax returns for SME's. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. Ability to manage your time efficiently. Must possess working rights in Australia. Desired/Highly Regarded Capabilities Knowledge/experience of more complex areas of Australian taxation such as Division 7a, family trust concessions, small business CGT concession and loss provisions. Experience in the preparation of general purpose financial statements.
