Job Description
As a Claims Consultant within our Group space for the REST fund, you will manage life insurance claims from start to finish and provide a seamless experience for our customers.
In This Role You Will
* Provide a best‐in‐class customer and client experience, including regular communication about claim status and managing expectations to deliver quality health and claim outcomes.
* Independently manage a portfolio of TPD and IP claims end‐to‐end.
* Assess, analyse, calculate and finalise claims payments.
* Actively engage external treating doctors, rehabilitation consultants, and in‐house medical and legal specialists to deliver timely outcomes for our customer.
* Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with our philosophy, policy and claims procedures.
* Participate in case conferences, peer case discussions, and instruct third‐party service providers.
Qualifications
* Life insurance claims management experience within Group policy – IP and/or TPD claims experience is ideal.
* Workers Compensation or Return to Work claims management experience with an Allied Health background.
* Strong analytical, problem‐solving and time‐management skills.
* Excellent communication and empathy to support customers during challenging times.
* Solid understanding of injuries, illnesses and treatment.
