The Engineering and Energy technical group has the responsibility for operating and maintaining undergraduate teaching labs and facilities, along with preparing, developing, designing and constructing experiments.
Whether teaching, research or external engagement activities the group manages the technical requirements that service the needs of the University community.
Your New Role
As a technical operations specialist you will operate and maintain electrical engineering equipment that supports teaching and research in industrial automation and control, within the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, specifically in the School of Engineering and Energy.
Main Responsibilities:
* Deliver and support practical teaching in Industrial Control and Automation Engineering including preparation of lab materials and equipment.
* Maintain and develop technical facilities equipment and experiments while providing expert advice on software tools and systems.
* Ensure safe and efficient lab operations including procurement documentation and compliance with WHS standards.
