Job Summary
We are seeking a Compassionate and Person‐Centred Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant for the Maddocks Gardens Lifestyle team to support aged care residents in achieving quality of life. The role is ongoing, part time – 40 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday, 9:00‐4:30 pm.
Responsibilities
As a Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant you will plan and deliver engaging, dynamic lifestyle programs in collaboration with Diversional Therapists and the Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator. Key duties include:
* Planning and facilitating individual and group activities that promote social, spiritual, cultural, and psychological well‐being.
* Providing support to residents to meet their personal lifestyle choices.
* Maintaining and enhancing residents' overall quality of life.
* Working as part of a cohesive, supportive and collaborative team.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or willingness to obtain.
* Well‐developed communication and interpersonal skills.
* Interest and knowledge in providing suitable individual and group activities.
* Team‐working ability and a cooperative attitude.
* Passion for aged care and commitment to advocate for residents' best interests.
