You'll be surrounded by an open, collaborative culture that embraces diversity, recognition, professional development and, most importantly, you.Are you ready to make your impact?* **About the Role** FTI Consulting is looking for a talented professional at the Consultant, Senior Consultant or Manager level (internal title is Director) to join FTI Consulting's valuations and forensics teams (opportunities in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane). As a key member, you will be an integral part of this fast-growing practice. FTI Consulting has a dedicated team of valuation specialists providing valuations of businesses, intangible assets and many other types of financial assets for taxation, strategy, regulatory, M&A, accounting, and litigation purposes. Each year we work with dozens of entrepreneurs, c-suite management and their advisors, and develop deep expertise in a broad range of industries along the way. Some examples of the subject of our valuations:* Businesses* Equity* Debt* Hybrid financial instruments* Brands* Patents and other intellectual property* Contracts* Infrastructure assetsOur valuation specialists are also active in the valuation community including holding roles with local and international accounting and valuation bodies.You will work directly with senior team members who will support and guide you throughout engagements. Your professional development will be enhanced through internal and external training, on-the-job coaching and mentoring.**What You'll Do*** Execution of a wide range of valuation engagements for strategy, transactions, regulatory, tax compliance, financial reporting, and litigation purposes* Support day-to-day engagement execution, including interaction with clients, financiers, auditors, tax advisors and legal advisers* Undertake company and industry analysis* Participate in interviews with senior management of our clients to understand their businesses* Perform financial, ratio and comparable company analysis* Perform valuations analysis of any of the examples listed above* Assist in drafting clear and concise written reports summarising our valuation analysis* Assist with business development activities* Assist with developing and enhancing financial models and reporting templates* Contribute to FTI Consulting initiatives and team development activities**How You'll Grow**A role in FTI Consulting's valuation and forensic team will offer you:* An opportunity to work for a leading international consulting firm* Enhanced skills in economics, accounting, finance and valuation analysis including regular formal technical training sessions to enrich your professional development* Small client teams which will enable you to be more closely involved in every client engagement and proposals* Direct access to key decision-makers, both internal and external* Dynamic and entrepreneurial national team with real opportunities to help grow the business* Support from experienced senior members of the team to deliver valuation projects, brainstorm ideas to solve complex problems and provide general advice.**Qualifications & Experience*** Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines. Other degrees in liberal arts or sciences are also considered if you can also demonstrate an aptitude for financial analysis.* 1 to 4 years of professional experience, including experience in business and/or intangible asset valuations, credit analysis, tax advisory or other related experience* Strong understanding of, or interest in, valuations and corporate finance* Proficiency in both written and spoken English* Experience in writing documents and reports* Excellent analytical and quantitative skills* Knowledge or understanding of accounting principles* Proficiency with the Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint* Adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment* Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and analyse complex financial information* Ability to work on multiple client matters at one time* Ability to work with senior team members and the client in deadline-driven projects* Strong work ethic and integrity, and high level of professionalism* Willingness to travel for work**Our Benefits**Apart from the well-structured career path and excellent team environment, our employees enjoy a variety of perks and benefits.
