Are experienced in working with Indigenous Communities and in the collecting sector?
The Indigenous Engagement Section in our Engagement Branch is seeking a high performing APS5 Coordinator, Indigenous Curatorial and Collections. This is an Indigenous employment Affirmative Measures role.
Provide advice and support regarding collection-based functions including acquisitions, processing and describing
Provide research support and liaising with Collection Branch on developing workflows
Enhance description and Indigenous knowledge
Provide content for First Nations portal.
You will build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This will include:
Implementing, reviewing and evaluating policies
Contributing to Corporate, Business and strategic planning.
You will provide advice on acquisition, processing describing, right and cultural safety using in-depth knowledge of Indigenous culture and history.
It is desirable if you hold qualifications or equivalent experience in Arts, Humanities or Social Science or a related field.
