About the Position

RMIT's College of Business and Law – Economics, Finance & Marketing School is seeking a Marketing Technology (MarTech) Lab Manager for a fixed-term period, with an underlying ongoing appointment as a Level B Lecturer (Education Focused). The Lecturer (Education Focused) plays a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning across disciplines related to Marketing Technology. In this role, you will contribute to undergraduate, Masters and Graduate Diploma programs, while continuing to develop your scholarly, research and/or professional expertise. You will also actively promote the program by building strong connections with academic, industry and professional communities.

In addition, this position includes responsibility for the day-to-day management and support of the Marketing Technology Lab (MTL) as the MarTech Lab Manager. The MTL is a purpose-built facility that supports teaching, research and industry engagement, offering students and industry partners hands‐on experience with emerging marketing technologies. You will play a key part in embedding MarTech tools and practices into the curriculum, while contributing to lab‐enabled research projects.

We are seeking someone with a strong interest in Marketing Technology who is eager to learn and build capacity in this space, translating emerging knowledge into engaging teaching experiences for students. As part of this, you will help ensure the Lab operates smoothly and safely, providing technical, administrative and stakeholder support. You will play an important role in enabling innovative teaching practices, supporting applied research projects and maintaining strong industry partnerships, while overseeing the setup and ongoing maintenance of the Lab's technology and software environment.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:

* Ability to coordinate and deliver programmes at undergraduate and post‐graduate levels, including online delivery, and to produce high‐quality curriculum or programme materials.
* Demonstrated knowledge of marketing technology platforms and tools (e.g., CRM, analytics, MarTech stacks, AI‐enabled platforms) and/or evidence of willingness to develop skills in these platforms.
* Passion and commitment for innovation of education and learning.
* Evidence of ability to motivate, inspire, support and negotiate sensitively with students from diverse backgrounds.
* A record of demonstrable scholarly and professional outcomes in a relevant discipline area.
* Ability to build effective networks with colleagues and generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills.
* High‐level interpersonal and communication skills appropriate for interacting with students, staff and building professional links with industry, together with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.
