We are looking for an Assistant Development Manager to support end‐to‐end delivery of residential and mixed‐use projects in Brisbane.
About the role
As an Assistant Development Manager, you will support the delivery of projects from feasibility through to completion, taking ownership of defined workstreams and playing a key role in driving outcomes across our master‐planned communities.
Key responsibilities
* Support project strategy and decision‐making through commercial, financial and market insights aligned to portfolio objectives
* Manage project workstreams, programmes, and stakeholder coordination to drive timely delivery, monitor KPIs, and proactively escalates risks across the development lifecycle
* Support feasibility, budgeting and cash‐flow forecasting while managing project costs, procurement and financial reporting to ensure strong financial control and value optimisation
* Coordinate consultant engagement, design inputs, and documentation control to deliver commercially aligned outcomes while driving innovation, efficiency, and sustainability
* Manage planning approvals and authority engagement to secure permits and progress projects through statutory processes
* Coordinate construction delivery, monitor contractor performance and programme adherence, and proactively manage risks, inspections and issue resolution
* Support marketing and sales delivery while managing collateral, customer engagement, and key stakeholder relationships across the project lifecycle
What you'll need to be successful
* Tertiary qualification in Property, Construction, Planning or a related discipline with 2–5 years experience in property development or project delivery
* Experience contributing to residential, mixed use or master‐planned developments across the lifecycle
* Strong commercial and financial acumen, including feasibility, budgeting and risk assessment
* Proven ability to manage consultants and contractors to achieve project outcomes
* Sound understanding of planning approvals and statutory requirements
* Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and problem‐solving capability
* Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and reporting skills
* Proactive, adaptable and tech‐savvy, with proficiency in MS Office and project systems – Estate Master & Aconex, desirable
* Current driver's licence with flexibility to travel to the Gold Coast project site and Melbourne head office as required
