Job Description:
Provide high-quality nursing or midwifery care in a Child and Family Health Service, delivering client-centred services, supporting staff and students, and contributing to safe, evidence-based care.
Key Duties of the Role:
* Assess client needs and provide person-centred nursing/midwifery care
* Plan and coordinate services with other disciplines and agencies
* Support student learning, staff orientation, and preceptorship
* Participate in quality improvement, risk minimisation, and safe work practices
* Provide guidance to less experienced staff and support team leadership
Skills and Qualifications:
* A Registered Nurse or Midwife with current AHPRA registration
* Proven competence in safe, high-quality nursing/midwifery care
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
* Ability to prioritise workload and apply creativity and flexibility in care
* Knowledge of legislation, standards, quality improvement, and client-centred care
