Senior Expert in Marine Sustainability
* We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Expert to contribute to Deakin University's teaching and research excellence in marine and coastal sustainability.
* The role will involve shaping the curriculum of the Bachelor of Marine Science through engaging, innovative teaching and bringing expertise in marine sustainability, including the integration of Indigenous knowledge and partnerships.
About the Role
* Lead on unit and course design, driving innovation and refinement of learning resources to enhance student experiences.
* Bring industry practice into teaching, creating authentic learning that boosts student success and employability.
* Champion educational excellence, supporting students, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to impactful pedagogical and discipline-based research.
* Drive high-impact research and innovation by securing funding, leading interdisciplinary partnerships, and delivering outcomes with growing national recognition.
* Foster research excellence and future talent by supervising HDR and early-career researchers, building strong industry-connected research cultures, and communicating work to national audiences.
* Participate in departmental and faculty-wide initiatives to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.
* Engage with industry partners to develop and maintain collaborations that drive research and teaching impact.
Key Responsibilities

2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry partners to facilitate collaborative research and teaching projects.
3. Mentor and support HDR and early-career researchers to achieve their research goals.
