Jade House Chinese Restaurant – an authentic Asia restaurant in Geraldton.
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate cook to join our energetic team. The position is full-time, and the cook will be required to work late evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications
* Hold at least Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
* Minimum 1-year work experience in commercial kitchen.
* Ability to multitask and work under pressure during peak service times.
* A strong sense of teamwork and good communication skills.
* A strong work ethic and positive 'can-do' attitude.
* Full working rights within Australia.
Responsibilities
* Inspecting food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food handling practices.
* Preparing, seasoning, and cooking food according to recipes.
* Adjusting recipes and cooking to accommodate customers'dietary requirements.
* Operating kitchen equipment and utensils safely and efficiently.
* Portioning, arranging and garnishing food to ensure a perfect presentation.
* Storing food in temperature-controlled equipment.
* Developing menus to use fresh, seasonal foods and meet special dietary needs.
* Maintaining, ordering stocks and supplies and assisting in menu budgeting.
* Supervising and providing training to new kitchen staff.
* Maintaining a high standard of hygiene, OHS & Food Safety procedures in the kitchen.
The annual salary will be $80,000 plus super based on your experience and skills.
