Job Description
Faith-driven Year 3/4 teacher needed at a small Christian Aboriginal school near Kalgoorlie, WA. Salary range: $96,767 – $130,734 per year (including remote area loading). 3‐5 year commitment preferred. Subsidised accommodation available. Suitable for a practising Christian with cultural humility and a calling to make a lasting difference in an Aboriginal community.

School Overview
CAPS Kurrawang is a small, close‐knit Christian school serving approximately 85 predominantly Aboriginal (First Nations) students from Kindy to Year 6. The school runs four mixed‐year classes and boasts an attendance rate of roughly 80%.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Year 3/4 programmes aligned with the WA curriculum, adapting to diverse learning needs.
* Build genuine, caring relationships with students and their families, acting as a coal‐face support.
* Collaborate with a tight‐knit team, sharing ownership of the school environment.
* Embrace and integrate First Nations perspectives into teaching with humility.
* Actively engage with students' families and the broader Kurrawang community as a trusted presence.
* Support and uphold the school's Christian ethos, participating in staff devotions, prayer, and the Christ‐centred approach to education.
Ideal Candidate
* Practising Christian with a genuine faith commitment and servant's heart – essential.
* Registered (or eligible to register) with the Teacher Registration Board of WA.
* Primary‐qualified with a strong grasp of the WA curriculum.
* Culturally humble – prior experience with Aboriginal communities valued, but willingness to learn from this community is key.

* Emotionally resilient and mission‐minded.
* Committed to staying for at least three years; five years preferred.
* Strong communicator capable of building trusted relationships with students, families, staff, and community.
Requirements
Successful applicants will be required to obtain Federal Police Clearance and a Working with Children Check.
