AtkinsRéalis' Engineering Design business provides multidisciplinary engineering services and integrated solutions across a wide range of projects and markets.
We are in search of a Senior Structural Engineer based in our Sydney office, to support our portfolio of growing projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leading role, providing input to some challenging projects within the infrastructure and renewable energy sectors.
The successful applicant will be a Senior Structural Engineer with a degree in civil or structural engineering and hold or be close to holding chartered status with Engineer's'Australia.
Candidates should have the right flare and ability that will help us develop and expand our structural engineering capability by building on the existing portfolio of our expanding, flexible and outward looking team that can tackle work across a broad spectrum of sectors.
Your role
* Act as a key structural resource ensuring the provision of efficient, high quality structural engineering design.
* Lead/manage the design of Structural Engineering works across a range of projects, including RC, Steel, and external structures such as retaining walls.
* Leading, managing and co-ordinating multi-disciplinary project teams to complete projects to meet client aspirations.
* Management of project programmes, budgets and overall quality.
* Provide leadership for our people ensuring successful management and development of engineers and technicians both in Australia and overseas.
* Contribute to the development of complex project proposals/cost estimates and participate in the process of securing new business opportunities or expanding the scope of existing projects.
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Proven structural engineering design experience ideally within the energy/industrial sector/s.
* Strong capability in steel and concrete design, with high technical competency in first-principles engineering to solve complex, bespoke challenges.
* Proficient in local and international codes and design software.
* Ability to own and deliver tasks end-to-end with minimal supervision.
* Experience working across different project phases (concept to detailed design).
* Effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams, draftspersons, and stakeholders.
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, including remote delivery when required.
* Flexible and proactive in contributing to shared project scopes.
