Yala Yallingup is a premium retreat and spa set upon a 130-acre bushland property located between Dunsborough and Yallingup. Our estate, formerly known as Empire Retreat, provides a variety of short term accommodation options including chalets, suites and a farmstead villa. We are the holder of a Michelin Guide Key and provide our guests with the highest quality of down south accommodation experiences.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail orientated housekeeper who takes pride in their work and is able to work independently to a high standard.
We are a small team who work together to achieve consistent quality and guest satisfaction. For the right candidate we are also offering breakfast shift hours to help with the morning continental buffet, tea/coffee service and small a‐la‐carte options.
Yala includes a 12‐room offering that is often fully booked so we are seeking a reliable candidate that will receive regular shifts as agreed with the housekeeping team.
The Role
This position is at the very center of our guest experience, requiring a high level of attention to detail and a warm, professional presence.
* Housekeeping & Guest Services: Daily room refreshes whilst guests are attending breakfast, meticulous cleaning and linen changes involving standard resets and deep cleaning tasks as required and rotated through the rooms.
* Farmhouse Lounge & Atrium: Weekly cleaning of the reception, lounge, breakfast room and common areas. Maintaining a clean and organised storage and staff area to ensure stock is rotated and clearly accessible.
* Maintenance & Feedback: Great communication is essential. Ensuring maintenance issues are communicated to front desk staff and management for timely resolve.
* Yala Representation: Maintaining a warm, approachable and professional level of service to our guests, going the extra distance when needed to elevate their stay, and offering local knowledge of the property and area.
* Breakfast Service: Preparing and packing down dining area, greeting breakfast guests and taking food & coffee orders, preparing juices and hot beverages, serving and clearing tables.
About You
We are looking for someone who takes pride in a job well done and cares about the little details. A positive attitude, a professional yet relaxed demeanur, and ability to uphold a high personal standard of work are a must.
Working hours are from 7am to 3pm and flexibility for weekend work and public holidays are required. Weekly hours are available up to 30hrs per week.
