Banyule City Council is seeking a Sustainable Procurement Officer to help embed environmental, social and responsible sourcing principles into the way we buy, partner and plan. Working as part of our Strategic Procurement team, you'll support the integration of sustainable procurement across Council categories, sourcing activities and supplier engagement helping ensure our purchasing decisions deliver real value for our community, environment and local economy. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with an interest in sustainability or social procurement, whether you are building on early career experience or bringing more established expertise to the role.

* Support sustainable, social and responsible sourcing principles across Council procurement activities
* Analyse spend and supplier data to identify sustainability opportunities and risks
* Provide practical advice to internal stakeholders on sustainable procurement

* Support supplier engagement and capability uplift initiatives
* Contribute to early engagement and demand planning processes

What You'll Bring / What We Are Looking For
* An understanding of procurement processes and category principles
* Interest or experience in sustainability, Environment, Social, Governance (ESG), social procurement or responsible sourcing
* Confidence working with data and translating insights into action
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* A collaborative and team‐oriented approach with excellent administrative skills
* Experience in local government or the public sector is an advantage, but not essential
Pre‐employment Requirements
* Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
