Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef with at least one year of experience in Nepalese and / or Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of traditional recipes and cooking techniques, be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen, and consistently deliver high-standard dishes that align with our restaurant's reputation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a wide range of Nepalese and Indian dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards.
Ensure food preparation and presentation is of high quality at all times.
Manage kitchen operations efficiently during service hours.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen as per food safety standards.
Assist in menu planning, stock control, and inventory management.
Supervise kitchen staff and assist in their training if required.
Monitor and minimize food wastage and ensure cost-effective kitchen practices.
Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef in Nepalese and / or Indian cuisine.
Proven knowledge of traditional cooking techniques and spices.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistency in food quality.
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
Desirable
Formal culinary training or certification (not mandatory but preferred).
Previous experience in a similar restaurant environment.
