Inclusion Professional Lead - Serious Medical/Health Conditions & Mental Health

Uplyft is seeking a passionate and experienced Inclusion Professional Lead – Serious Medical and Health Conditions (including Mental Health) to provide specialist guidance, build workforce capability, and strengthen inclusive practices across the early childhood sector as part of Inclusion Support West.

Inclusion Support West is a partnership between One Tree Community Services and Uplyft delivering the Inclusion Support Program across Western Australia. Together, we support Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services to build inclusive environments where all children can access, participate and thrive.

About the role

The Inclusion Professional Lead (IPL) – Serious Medical and Health Conditions (including Mental Health) provides specialist leadership and expertise within the Inclusion Support Program (ISP), supporting Inclusion Professionals to strengthen their practice and deliver quality outcomes for children with additional needs.

This role combines specialist case support, workforce capability building, and sector engagement, with a focus on supporting children with serious medical and health conditions, including mental health concerns. The IPL provides expert advice on complex and escalated cases, works directly with Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services where specialist input is required, and contributes to the development of practical resources, training, and professional learning opportunities.

Working collaboratively with Inclusion Professionals, consortium partners, allied health professionals, community services, and sector stakeholders, the IPL plays a key role in building capability across the early childhood sector and promoting inclusive practices that support children's participation, wellbeing, and development.

About you

You are a passionate and collaborative early childhood professional with a strong commitment to inclusion and positive outcomes for children and families.

You will bring:

* A relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Disability, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Allied Health, or a related field.
* Demonstrated experience supporting children with additional needs, particularly those with serious medical or health conditions and/or mental health concerns, within Early Childhood Education and Care or related settings.
* Specialist knowledge and experience in supporting children with complex medical, health, developmental, behavioural, or mental health needs.
* A strong understanding of the Inclusion Support Program (ISP) Guidelines, National Quality Framework (NQF), and Approved Learning Frameworks.
* Experience delivering training, mentoring, coaching, or building the capability of educators and professionals.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across a diverse range of services and sectors.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands, work independently, and effectively access community and specialist support networks.
