Avenel Equine Hospital
Avenel Equine Hospital is a full service equine hospital located in the heart of Victoria's Thoroughbred breeding region, providing comprehensive services to equine clients in the local area (Avenel, Nagambie, Seymour and Euroa). Our services range from routine vaccinations and health checks for ponies to 24‐hour‐a‐day intensive care for newborn foals, lameness evaluation for sport horses to assisted reproduction. We provide full equine surgery, equine medicine, diagnostic imaging, equine reproduction, laboratory, pharmacy and referral service.

The Role
You will be working in the areas of haematology, biochemistry and microbiology in the heart of an equine veterinary hospital. This role is autonomous and flexible with the support of our on‐site experienced laboratory team leader, veterinarians, and also direct contact from Australia's largest equine laboratory at Scone Equine Hospital. Laboratory procedures and policies are well documented and in use. This role also requires a commitment to customer service. We envisage a roster of 4 hours every afternoon and alternative weekends with entitlement to penalty rates.
Skills and Experience
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in laboratory science or equine science are required. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
* Previous experience in a veterinary or medical diagnostic laboratory is highly desirable.
* Commitment to customer service.
* Ability to prioritise and plan.
