- Building Commission NSW (BCNSW) has been established after the NSW Government recognised the substantial progress made by Fair Trading and the Office of the Building Commissioner in delivering once-in-a-generation reforms of the building and construction industry. The new commission will not only be the industry regulator, but also a collaborator with consumers and industry to ensure standards, capabilities, capacity and resilience continue to be lifted across the sector to deliver quality homes and meet the state’s housing targets.

Responsibilities include:
- Plan and undertake testing by writing and executing functional and non-functional test including debugging and refactoring the test code to ensure code and processes are of high degree of quality and fit for purpose.
- Investigate problems, analyse options and provide recommendations for new and existing services, new initiatives, strategies and products to improve compliance, effectiveness and to address risk
- Translating complex analysis into meaningful insights and recommendations to effectively influence a diverse range of key stakeholders with varying expectations.
- Provide direction and guidance to the team to enable issue resolution of identified defects to improve the quality of systems development
- Conduct assessments to evaluate the implications of proposed changes and document business rules, functions and requirements.
- Supporting the delivery of complex programs and initiatives to realise a range of efficiencies and benefits within a fast paced, agile and high-volume environment.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to gain/maintain specialist and business knowledge and to facilitate scoping and setting of business priorities
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in digital projects as a test analystor in a quality assurance role.
- Problem solving ability to think through ambiguity, and lead and guide others to achieve business outcomes.
- Experience in a regulatory and government workplace.
- Experience working with complex and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Advanced communication skills (written and verbal).
- A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Proven capability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in conducting workshops for requirements gathering, process mapping and stakeholder engagement.

Salary Grade 07/08, with the base salary for this role starting at $113,574 - 125,720.00 + 12% Superannuation base plus superannuation
