Join the Development Coordination Authority—bringing together expert advice across disciplines to deliver smarter, faster planning outcomes for NSW! 3 x ongoing roles. Parramatta or other NSW location by negotiation. PO (Professional) Level 1B, salary ranges from $115,853 to $130,547 + super.
The role
This role manages low- to moderate-complexity referrals — integrated development, concurrence and consultation — for development applications across NSW, in one of DCA's four regional RC&A teams. Working alongside DCA's technical experts, the role learns NSW Government input across many disciplines and prepares draft consolidated responses for senior sign-off. It also supports senior officers on more complex matters.
The role identifies gaps or inconsistencies in the input it receives, drafts responses that reflect a clear position, and escalates where senior input is needed. It manages communication with councils and applicants throughout the assessment process, and contributes to ongoing improvements in how the service operates.
DCA's four regional RC&A teams align to the Local Planning and Council Support (LPCS) regions: Central, West and South; North, East and Central Coast; Hunter and Northern; and Southern, Western and Macarthur.
What you will bring to the role
* Knowledge of the NSW planning, assessment and approval environments including relevant legislation, policy, regulations, standards and codes of practice.
* Demonstrated experience in customer service and enquiry management.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to statutory timeframes.
* Ability to communicate well with diverse customers and stakeholders (written and verbal).
* Demonstrated ability to identify gaps or inconsistencies in input received and prepare clear, considered draft responses.
Essential Requirements
* Degree qualification in a related relevant discipline.
