About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Business Analyst to join a major supply chain transformation program on an initial 6-month Casual role with potential for extension.
Working within the Supply Chain team, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of logistics transformation initiatives by analysing current operations, designing future-state logistics networks, and providing data-driven insights to improve service, cost, and operational performance.
This position offers a hybrid working model, with 2-3 days per week based in Docklands and occasional travel to regional sites as required.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Analysis & Operational Excellence
* Support the Logistics Lead - Project Horizon in delivering logistics transformation initiatives
* Conduct logistics network mapping, current-state assessments, and future-state modelling
* Analyse cost-to-serve, freight, and logistics performance data to drive strategic decision-making
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and supply chain optimisation
* Document and analyse fulfilment processes to identify bottlenecks and efficiency opportunities
* Develop actionable insights to support service, cost, and inventory objectives
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and consultants
Project Governance & Delivery
* Assist with project planning, deployment, and implementation activities
* Monitor project milestones, risks, and issues, ensuring timely escalation where required
* Support stakeholder alignment on process standards and performance targets
* Contribute to change management planning and execution
* Ensure smooth transition from project deployment into business-as-usual operations
* Provide analytical and functional support across the Project Horizon team
* Support governance activities and ensure project deliverables meet quality standards
About You
You are a commercially minded logistics professional who enjoys solving complex supply chain challenges through data-driven insights and collaboration. You thrive in transformation environments and can effectively influence stakeholders at all levels.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 5 years\' Australian logistics or supply chain operational experience
* Strong knowledge of warehousing, transport, and international logistics operations
* Experience delivering large-scale transformation or cross-functional projects
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
* Experience with logistics network design and modelling
* Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills
* Advanced systems literacy with the ability to quickly learn new processes and technologies
* SAP experience (ECC6, Atlas, or S/4HANA) highly regarded
* Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness
Qualifications
* Degree qualification in Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline
* Project management experience or qualifications highly regarded
