An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Data & Reporting Analyst to join a high-performing Federal Government team. This role will suit someone who enjoys working with complex datasets, developing meaningful reporting solutions, and providing insights that support operational and strategic decision-making. Working within a collaborative environment, you will be responsible for analysing data, identifying trends and emerging issues, and developing reports and dashboards that drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse, interpret and present complex data sets to identify trends, patterns and actionable insights.
* Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and visualisations to support organisational performance monitoring.
* Extract, cleanse, validate and manage data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
* Translate business requirements into effective reporting and analytical solutions.
* Present findings in a clear, concise and visually engaging manner for a range of stakeholders.
* Build strong relationships across the business to understand reporting needs and support data-driven decision-making.
* Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, methodologies and data management practices.
* Support project-related activities including planning, progress tracking and reporting.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate meaningful insights.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including:
o Power Query
o Pivot Tables
o Advanced formulas and functions
o Advanced charting and reporting
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* High attention to detail and a commitment to data quality and accuracy.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
* The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Experience
* Experience supporting project delivery and performance reporting.
* Experience gathering and analysing business requirements, particularly relating to reporting and data solutions.
* Previous experience within a government or large corporate environment.
