Located five kilometres south of Muswellbrook in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales, Mt Arthur Coal is an open cut mine, producing thermal coal.About The RoleThiess are taking Expressions of Interest for experienced Mining Supervisors/ Open Cut Examiners at Mt Arthur South Project located in Muswellbrook.The Mining Supervisor/ OCE will provide effective production and safety leadership to the project production crew ensuring that production targets are met, a safe and healthy workplace for all employees is maintained and community & environmental compliance is adhered to.Duties include, but not limited to:In this role, you will:Champion for all safety management plans & proceduresEffectively communicate with other departmentsLeadership and development of crewEnsure production targets are metConduct toolbox talks and shift prestart talksConduct statutory inspections of an open cut operationAbout YouYou are a high achieving and focused OCE with previous experience in a similar role.
