Hamilton Island is a premier resort in the Whitsundays, boasting four accommodation options, over 21 dining and restaurant outlets, a championship golf course, and a luxury yacht club.
* A passionate Cook is required to join our growing Food and Beverage team.
This role involves working in fast-paced kitchens, preparing quality meals for guests and staff.
* The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in high-volume venues such as Popeye's Fish & Chips, the Bakery, and the Staff Cafeteria.
* They will support food service during peak meal periods.
* They will maintain strict hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards.
* They will adhere to safe work practices and food handling procedures.
* They will participate in morning prep, mise en place, and stock rotation.
* They will contribute to special event prep when required.
* They will work collaboratively with chefs and fellow cooks to meet demand.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Experience in cafés, bistros, takeaway shops, or food preparation.
* Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
* Flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
* Physical fitness and comfort working in an active environment.
* Driver's licence preferred.
