Lunnon Metals Limited (ASX: LM8) is an active and well-funded West Australian ASX listed exploration and mining company advancing a portfolio of high-quality gold and nickel assets in the world‐class Kambalda district.
With ongoing gold mining operations at Lady Herial, a growing pipeline of near‐mine gold opportunities, and a proven track record of gold and nickel discovery success, we are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Exploration Geologist to play a leading role in the next phase of exploration growth across our Kambalda Gold & Nickel Project.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a technically capable and commercially minded geologist who wants genuine ownership, influence, and the opportunity to contribute directly to meaningful exploration success within a small, agile and high‐performing team.
The Opportunity
This unique hybrid role combines hands‐on field leadership with strategic geological interpretation and corporate integration.
Working across both our Eastern Goldfields operations and West Perth corporate office, you will lead drilling and exploration programs while contributing to high‐level targeting, 3D geological modelling, resource growth initiatives, and ASX‐facing technical workstreams.
You will be empowered to take initiative, influence exploration strategy, and work directly alongside senior leadership in a company where technical contribution genuinely drives outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and execute brownfields exploration programs across gold and nickel projects within the Kambalda district with a small team of geological and field direct reports.
* Design, manage and supervise drilling programs including Diamond, RC and Aircore campaigns.
* Drive target generation through integration of geological, structural, geophysical and geochemical datasets.
* Develop and maintain high‐quality 3D geological models using Leapfrog Geo.
* Oversee geological logging, sampling, QA/QC and database validation processes.
* Manage field contractors, budgets, schedules and operational delivery to ensure safe and efficient outcomes.
* Contribute to statutory reporting, technical studies, ASX announcements and corporate geological reviews.
* Mentor graduate/junior geologists, and field assistants, contributing to a positive, high‐performance team.
* Maintain strong compliance with WHS, environmental and heritage obligations.
About You
* Proactive and accountable exploration professional who thrives in a technically driven environment where initiative, ownership and delivery matter.
* Comfortable leading field programs, interpreting complex geological systems, and contributing strategically within a collaborative exploration team.
* Australian citizen or permanent resident.
* Bachelor of Science in Geology or related Earth Sciences discipline (Honours or MSc highly regarded).
* Approximately 7+ years' experience in mineral exploration with strong exposure to Archean gold and/or komatiitic nickel sulphide systems.
* Capability and eligibility to attain statutory position appointment as an Exploration Manager under the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
* Demonstrated success in brownfields exploration and drill program management.
* Strong technical capability in structural geology, target generation and geological interpretation.
* Experience with industry software including Leapfrog Geo, ioGAS, ArcGIS/QGIS and geological databases.
* Strong understanding of WA mining, heritage and safety legislation.
* Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Solution‐focused mindset with the ability to operate autonomously and contribute positively to team culture.
* Current manual C‐Class Driver's Licence.
* Eligibility for membership with the AusIMM or AIG highly regarded.

* Flights from/to Perth provided during FIFO rotation (during work hours).
