About the Role
We're seeking a safety‐focused Geotechnical Engineer to provide operational geotechnical support in development and production. Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer you will play a crucial role in supporting long‐hole stoping mining operations, designing and implementing ground support plans, conducting inspections and delivering expert geotechnical advice for mine designs—all while fostering a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
Roster: 8/6, 12 hours per day (Day‐shift only)
Location: Federation Mine, Nymagee NSW
Travel Options
* Residents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family‐friendly township of Cobar. Relocation support is available, along with a residential allowance.
* DIDO if you live within an 800‐km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowance.
* FIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor of Engineering in Geotechnical or equivalent with minimum 2 years' relevant experience.
* Proficient in Deswik, CAD, RocScience, DIPS, UNWEDGE, FLAC3D, MAP3D including modelling.
* Able to work autonomously and make sound technical decisions supporting mining operations.
* Strong technical writing skills and commitment to safety.
* Positive, collaborative and safety‐driven work approach.
* Current 'C' Class Driver's License.
