The Illawarra Brain Injury Service (IBIS) is seeking a skilled and motivated Social Worker to join our team, located at Port Kembla Hospital, on a temporary basis.
In this role you will be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team delivering high‐quality community and outpatient services to eligible clients and their carers. Services are provided both individually and in group settings, with a strong emphasis on collaboration across disciplines to achieve optimal client outcomes.
The position offers a diverse and rewarding workload, combining case management of a designated caseload with discipline‐specific responsibilities, including psychosocial assessment, counselling, support, and advocacy. This unique blend provides opportunities to develop both advanced clinical skills and care coordination expertise. IBIS is a district‐wide service delivering specialised brain injury rehabilitation to eligible clients and their carers.
The service operates as part of the state‐wide Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program (BIRP), contributing to a coordinated and comprehensive model of care.

Requirements
* Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
* Extensive post graduate experience in providing rehabilitation services to people with a traumatic brain injury.
* Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* Valid NSW Drivers Licence.
This is a temporary leave relief position until 9 May 2027 with the possibility of extension.
