Sunshine Coast DPA GP Job
We're looking for GPs to work in aged care on the Sunshine Coast. The role is part of our DPA network and offers flexible, high‑pay, and rewarding opportunities that can easily combine with your existing general practice work.
Key Details
* Choose your sessions and days
* Earn up to $4,000 gross billings per day
* DPA exemption – open to doctors with general registration
Earnings
Your earning potential depends on how many patients you see in a session/day. The work is bulk‑billed, so GPs receive:
* GPACI payments – $390 per patient, per year, paid quarterly
* Bulk Billing Practice Incentives Program (BBPIP) – 6.25% quarterly payment
Indicative GP earnings are:
Minimum $1,600 gross billings per session (20 patients) up to $4,000 gross billings per day (50 patients).
Requirements & Experience
No prior aged‑care experience is required. Specialist registration in general practice is ideal. Doctors with general registration who hold temporary visas are also encouraged to apply. The position qualifies for a DPA exemption.
Benefits
* Doctor‑led, privately owned, and independent – no KPI pressure around patient numbers
* Specialised technology tools to reduce paperwork and streamline notes
* Mentoring and peer support from directors, including a Monash University lecturer
* Monthly CPD‑accredited clinical education sessions to keep skills up to date
* On‑boarding support with nurses for initial sessions and ongoing care‑plan assistance
* Collaborative, team‑based culture with over 50 GPs supporting more than 100 facilities
Minimum Commitment
Just one session (4 hrs) per week. You can start with 10‑15 residents and grow at your own pace.
Location
Preferably on the Sunshine Coast; if you’re based elsewhere, we can discuss travel allowances to cover travel to the Sunshine Coast.
