Principal Highways Engineer
Lead the design and delivery of major highways and transport infrastructure projects across NSW while strengthening client relationships and helping shape the future growth of AECOM's Sydney highways business.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of major highways and transport infrastructure projects across NSW
* Drive technical excellence across complex road and multidisciplinary design packages
* Develop innovative and practical engineering solutions for key transport clients
* Mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams across major road infrastructure projects
* Build trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders and delivery partners
* Support the growth of AECOM's highways capability across Sydney and the broader NSW market
Qualifications
* Proven experience delivering highways and transport infrastructure projects within a consulting environment
* Strong technical capability across road design and relevant Austroads and TfNSW standards
* Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex project deliverables
* Confidence building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
* Commercial awareness with experience managing project scope, budgets and programme outcomes
* A collaborative and proactive approach with a passion for mentoring and developing others
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and relevant professional registration or chartership
* 8+ years of experience within highways, roads or transport infrastructure engineering
