Your new role The Agile Lead is responsible for mentoring, building, and supporting cross-functional teams to deliver business value while continuously improving ways of working. This role is accountable for the successful delivery of prioritised business initiatives, balancing time, cost, and scope.The Agile Lead applies human-centred design principles and agile methodologies to ensure solutions effectively meet user needs and deliver measurable value. Working closely with a broad range of stakeholders, the role focuses on fostering high-performing teams, enabling efficient delivery, and promoting an outcomes-driven mindset. Key ResponsibilitiesAgile Delivery & Team Leadership Develop and lead cross-functional teams, fostering a high-performance culture Embed agile practices and methodologies to enable iterative value delivery Manage delivery of initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives Determine fit-for-purpose ways of working using appropriate Agile frameworks (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) Agile Coaching & Capability Building Provide coaching, training, and guidance to teams and stakeholders on agile practices Support adoption of agile principles to drive consistency, maturity, and continuous improvement Mentor Product Owners and team members to strengthen agile capability Facilitation & Delivery Execution Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives Lead workshops and collaborative sessions to support solution development Maintain and prioritise backlogs to ensure delivery of high-value outcomes Stakeholder Management & Communication Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders Engage stakeholders to solve complex problems and improve customer experience Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and updates to leadership Translate technical delivery concepts into clear business language Planning, Resourcing & Governance Support planning and resourcing across delivery streams Manage interdependencies, risks, and competing priorities Monitor and report on progress, performance, and outcomes Ensure delivery is achieved within agreed timelines and budget Continuous Improvement & Risk Management Track agile maturity and identify improvement opportunities Anticipate risks and develop mitigation strategies Promote a culture of continuous learning and optimisation Champion agile practices across the organisation What you'll need to succeed Qualifications & Experience Certification in Agile frameworks (e.g. Scrum, SAFe, Lean, Kanban) Experience in roles such as Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Iteration Manager, Release Train Engineer, or Agile Project Manager Strong background in Agile delivery methodologies and practices, including: Agile / Scrum / Kanban DevOps & Continuous Delivery Lean and Design Thinking / Human-Centred Design Proven experience delivering complex projects, including planning, scheduling, and financial oversight Experience building and leading high-performing teams Skills & Capabilities Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills Excellent communication and presentation skills, including senior/executive engagement Ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and organisational change Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking capability Experience coaching teams and individuals in agile practices What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
