About The Role
Richmond Network, primarily Lismore Base Hospital as well as Ballina District & Casino and District Memorial Hospitals, is seeking a qualified Anaesthetist to provide contemporary comprehensive Specialist Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes, delivering a healthy community through quality care. The successful applicant will also provide clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities, and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

Responsibilities
Provide contemporary comprehensive Specialist Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine services within all hospitals of the Network Surgical Services, including elective, emergency, acute pain and perioperative services, inclusive of an extensive practice in regional anaesthesia. Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, provide leadership, demonstrate effective clinical communication through information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills, and commit to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
Qualifications
* Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Anaesthetist, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways.
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Anaesthesia and ability to provide comprehensive anaesthesia services within all hospitals of the Network Surgical Services.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
* Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
* Availability to participate in an on‐call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
