As a Family and Carer Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing emotional support and guidance to families facing mental health challenges. Position Overview
* This is a permanent, full-time position working 80 hours per fortnight
* The role is based at our Warrnambool campus
* Salary Range: $68,874 - $73,065 per annum pro rata, plus superannuation
What You Bring
* Recent experience as a family member or carer of someone who accessed Infant and Child Mental Health & Wellbeing services or supported a young person in Adult Mental Health services
* Certificate 4 in Mental Health or Peer Support Work, or willingness to achieve this qualification during employment
* Knowledge of the strengths-based model of recovery or a willingness to undergo training
* Demonstrated empathy for the impact of mental illness on family members and carers
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively
* Sensitivity to the needs of diverse backgrounds
