About the role and where you will be working
This position is based at Victoria Park House in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. We are seeking someone who takes genuine pride in creating and maintaining a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment for our residents. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will play an essential role in ensuring the facility is presented to a high standard each day, with the majority of your duties focused on cleaning and infection control.
This is a permanent part time position working 22.5 hours per fortnight. Available shifts are as follows:
* Week 1: Thursday and Friday 0700‐1500
* Week 2: Friday 0700‐1500
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to
* Carrying out thorough cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and facility spaces.
* Performing routine and deep cleaning tasks in line with infection control and hygiene standards.
* Safely using and maintaining cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies.
* Ensuring all surfaces, floors, and high‐touch areas are sanitised regularly.
* Managing waste disposal, including sorting, removing, and replacing bins.
* Monitoring stock levels of cleaning products and reporting when replenishment is required.
* Maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and safety within all cleaning storage areas.
* Supporting laundry operations, including collecting, sorting, washing, drying, and folding items as needed.

To be considered for this role you'll need
* Previous experience in laundry, cleaning or hospitality (aged care experience highly regarded)
* An understanding of infection control and safe work practices
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills and a positive, can‐do attitude
* Reliability, punctuality and strong attention to detail
