About our Role: Our Darwin office has been servicing the local community, clients and beyond for decades and as it continues to grow, we’re seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead and contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across the region. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design, analysis, and delivery of structural solutions across a variety of sectors. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and play a key role in shaping projects that range from commercial and industrial developments to transport and infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
Lead structural design and documentation for buildings, infrastructure, and industrial projects
Manage project delivery from concept through to construction
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers
Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and NT-specific regulations
Contribute to business development and client engagement
About you: You’re a confident and capable structural engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality, practical solutions. You bring a strong technical foundation, project and team management experience, and a collaborative mindset to every project.
A bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
At least 8 years of experience in structural engineering, ideally with exposure to projects in the Northern Territory or other regional areas
Proficiency in structural design software such as SpaceGass, ETABS, RAM, and Revit
A solid understanding of structural systems and materials including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
Strong communication skills and the ability to develop and mentor others
Chartered status (CPEng) or active progress towards chartership is highly regarded
