Responsibilities
* Lead the development and implementation of programs and policies related to disability and inclusion.
* Build and maintain relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and communities.
* Apply knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and Equal Opportunity Act 1992 (WA), and local government obligations.
* Contribute to ongoing program evaluation and improvement to meet community needs.
Qualifications
* A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Sciences, Community Development, Social Work or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in community development, health promotion, social inclusion, or related fields.
* Strong understanding of social inclusion principles, accessibility requirements, and issues affecting diverse communities.
* Ability to quickly gain and apply knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and Equal Opportunity Act 1992 (WA), and local government obligations.
* Current 'C' class Driver's Licence valid in Western Australia.
Requirements and Expectations
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in program or policy development and implementation. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with people from diverse backgrounds. You will have the ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends as required.
